Whatcha Doin’ on Labor Day Weekend?

Labor Day weekend is coming up, and there are plenty of activities to choose from. If you’re looking for something to do in Denver or Colorado over the weekend, here are a few options:

Enjoy the offerings of over 50 area restaurants, 250 marketplace artisans and vendors, seven stages, and educational programs promoting the diverse cultural and western heritage of the region. Free admission.

Free with regular museum admission.
Savor some of the DAM’s lip-smacking artwork at our seventh Untitled event.
• What it’s like to taste colors and smell sounds? Get a taste of Synesthesia, a perceptual condition that blends the senses.
• Feast your eyes on crafty cakes inspired by works of art.

If you’re after a bit of independent music from regional bands, DenverFest 3 might be your ticket. See their website for band listings and venues.

Colorado State Fair

Pueblo, Colorado

For those with a sense of adventure, check out the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo, Colorado (about a 2-hour drive from Denver). In addition to cotton candy, carnival rides, mechanical bull rides, 4-H displays, you can check out the groovin’ music of Peter Frampton on Friday night. More info at their website.
