The original Red Fort stands in Agra, India, within view of the fabulous Taj Mahal. It was built long before the 17th century rule of Shah Jahan – but during his time as its proprietor, the Emperor of Hindustan used the fort as a place where all could gather regardless of faith or race.
The ideals of the Red Fort are represented well by John Shors, author of “Beneath a Marble Sky.” And our own version of the Red Fort is filled with references from the book. Inside the fortress-like building you’ll find common areas decorated with quotes and artwork from the novel. There’s a rooftop courtyard complete with enviable mountain views and daybeds for blissful lounging. Each unit features designer lighting, designer flooring and new carpet, and an original stone fireplace.
Walk to Café Europa and Carmine’s on Penn. Get your Cajun on at Lucile’s. Take a quick drive over to Wash Park. You’re in the center of a lot of great action.
